Sewing Instructions:

Step 1:  Using a ruler and a rotary cutter, Cut the each of the Color C (cream) 5-1/4" squares into four triangles as shown below:

Step 2:  Using a ruler and a rotary cutter, Cut the each of the Color B (blue) 5-1/4" squares into four triangles as shown below:

Step 3:  Using a ruler and a rotary cutter, Cut the each of the Color A (orange) 4-7/8" squares into four triangles as shown below:

Step 4:  With right sides together, layer a Color B (blue) triangle on a Color C (cream) triangle and sew along one short side as shown below.  Press seam allowances toward the darker fabric.  Repeat three times more for a total of four Color C/Color B triangles.  THEN, with right sides together, layer a Color C (cream) triangle on a Color B (blue) triangle and sew along one short side as shown below.  Press seam allowances toward the darker fabric.  Repeat three times more for a total of four Color B/Color C triangles.

Step 5:  Sew the Color A (orange) triangles to the long side of each Step 4 triangle.  Press the seam allowance toward the Color A (orange) triangle.

Step 6:  Using the illustration below as your guide, arrange the units. Press seam allowances away from the center unit on the top and bottom rows and toward the center unit in the center row. Sew rows together to finish the block and press seam allowances toward the center row.

Your block should measure 12-1/2" at this point.  It will measure 12" when it is sewn into the quilt.
