Calculators for Quilters
A common scenario for quilters is trying to figure out how many width of fabric strips to cut in order to get the number of patches that a pattern calls for. You have to pull out the old calculator, figure out how many patches a single strip will yield from the width of fabric that you are using, and divide the number of patches you need by the number of patches a single strip will yield. Hmmm...that can get
complicated. I've created some online calculators that will tell you the number of strips you need to cut simply by answering a few easy questions. You can even print out the results, just in case you are forgetful (like me)! Give it a try, you just might find yourself spending less time calculating and more time making quilts!
