Oklahoma Twister

Set your next quilt project a-spinning with this block.  Made up entirely of squares and half-square triangles, this two-color block creates a visually interesting pattern when sewn into straight sets.

 Technique:  Rotary Cut & Pieced

Cutting Instructions for 12" Block:

Putting It Together:

Step 1:  With right sides together, layer an ivory triangle on a blue triangle.  Stitch along the longest side using a scant 1/4" seam.  Press seam toward the darker fabric.  Repeat until 16 ivory/light blue half square triangles are finished.

Step 2:  Using the block diagram above as a guide, sew the units together to form rows using a scant 1/4" seam.  Sew rows together to form the block.
