Sewing Instructions:
Step 1: Using a rotary cutter and ruler, cut eight Color C 3-7/8" squares once
diagonally for a total of sixteen triangles.

Step 2:
Stitch a Color C half triangle (that you cut in Step 1) to two opposite sides
of a Color A 4-3/4" square as shown below. Press seam allowances toward Color A
fabric and trim points. Stitch a Color C half triangle (that you cut in Step 1)
to the two remaining sides of the Color A 4-3/4" square as shown below. Press
seam allowances toward Color A fabric and trim points. Repeat for a total of
four A/C units.

Step 3:
Stitch a Color D 7-1/4" quarter triangle to two opposite sides of an A/C unit
as shown below. Press seam allowances away from the Color D fabric and trim
points. Stitch a Color D 7-1/4" quarter triangle to the left side and stitch a
Color B 7-1/4" quarter triangle to the right side of the A/C unit. Press seam
allowances toward the center of the block and trim points. Repeat for a total
of four A/B/C/D units.

Step 4:
Using a rotary cutter and ruler, cut four Color A and four Color B 6-7/8"
squares once diagonally for a total of eight triangles of each color.

Step 5:
Stitch a Color B 6-7/8" half triangle to the upper left side and a Color
A 6-7/8" half triangle to the lower right side of an A/B/C/D unit as shown
below. Press seam allowances toward the center of the block and trim points.
Stitch a Color A 6-7/8" half triangle to the upper right side and stitch a
Color B 6-7/8" half triangle to the lower left side of the A/B/C/D unit. Press
seam allowances toward the center of the block and trim points. Repeat for a
total of four Square in Squares blocks. Each block should measure 12-1/2" at
this point. They will measure 12" when we sew them into the quilt.
