2.) Following the piecing order and
using the colors marked on the paper foundations, paper-piece 16 blocks.
Shorten your stitch length on your sewing machine to make paper removal easier.
Trim away excess fabric (fabric that extends beyond the seam allowance on the
paper foundations). Do not remove the paper foundations yet!
3.) Make four Twinkle Toes blocks as
shown below:

directions (Row 1 to the left, Row 2 to the right, etc.). Sew rows together to
form the center of the quilt and press seams in one direction.
5.) Carefully remove the paper from the
back of each block.
6.) Inner Border: Stitch the
1-1/2" x 24-1/2" black fabric strips to the left and right sides of the quilt.
Press seams toward the border fabric. Stitch the 1-1/2" x 26-1/2" black fabric
strips to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press seams toward the border
fabric.
7.) Outer Border: Stitch the
3-1/2" x 26-1/2" dark gray print fabric strips to the left and right sides of
the quilt. Press seams toward the inner border fabric. Stitch the 3-1/2" x
32-1/2" dark gray print fabric strips to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press
seams toward the inner border fabric.
8.) Layer the quilt top, batting, and

and lining fabric away and bind.
